Hannah Scher, LCSW

Who are we?

Hannah Scher, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Hannah received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois Chicago with a focus in mental health. She has experience supporting individuals from all walks of life in inpatient care, residential treatment centers, and therapeutic day schools. These experiences have shaped her ability to operate from a holistic, compassion-focused, and culturally sensitive lens.

Hannah is passionate about breaking down the stigma of mental health and prides herself on creating a warm, non-judgmental, safe space for you to feel understood. She will meet you where you are in the process and guide you to reconnect with your true authentic self, all with the goal of improving your quality of life.

Having worked with children, adolescents, and adults, Hannah has significant experience helping people navigate anxiety, depression, grief/loss, interpersonal relationships, and the struggles of everyday life. She aligns with the LGBTQ+ community and makes it a priority to create an affirming space.

Hannah does not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. She believes everyone’s situation is unique and will adjust treatment to fit your needs. She approaches therapy from a person-centered and relationship-based approach while pairing concepts of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. During sessions, you will be heard, gently challenged, and seen.

Life can be overwhelming, and seeking support is courageous. Hannah is humbled to have the honor of helping you understand there is nothing wrong with you, and there never was.
